I haven't mentioned on my blog yet, but I have my Homecoming dress!!! *YAY!!!*...i also have the jewelry and shoes I am going to wear too. They are all soooooooooo beautiful and i cannot wait to post pictures of them on my blog!!!...though, it's going to have to be after Homecoming on Jan. 23rd...sorry...from what I understand, the whole dress thing is supposed to be a surprise. I've shown my family and close friends though; they all really like it. I think it is GORGEOUS and am sooooooooooooooooo excited to wear it and get escorted onto the court by my friend, Clay.
My school doesn't have football, so we do our Homecoming during our Basketball season...so, I'm getting escorted onto a court instead of a field. Oh well, still fun! :P
y'all can probably expect a truck-load of pics of homecoming to show up on here the day after lol...no joke

Lack of sleep- not of fun!! :]
Like I have mentioned in several of my previous posts, my totally awesome cousin Aaron is in town visiting from Wisconsin. For the past week that he has been here I really haven't gotten much sleep b/c the four of us kids have been staying up late playing Monopoly til about 4 in the morning. It's become somewhat of a tradition, I'd say....though I never manage to to win :[...idk what's up with that...hummmm....something must be wrong with my strategy. If anyone who reads this has suggestions, I'm open. lol. We have played a total of 8 games now and I can never manage to hold my winning status until the end of the game. Now I have a burning desire to win atleast one game b4 he leaves so that I can drop the title of being the only one out of the four of us who hasn't won a single game. lol. Well, i take that back...i don't think my sister has won yet, but that doesn't really count since she only rarely plays with us anyway. Monopoly is a game she despises so she only played a couple times.
anyway...
I am COMPLETELY enjoying being free from school. Though I still have to work on a World History Honors paper. I am writing an essay on different world religions. I plan on comparing and contrasting several of them. I LOVE doing stuff like this b/c it is so interesting to look at different religions and see how some of them are somewhat similar to Christianity yet fall so helplessly short of being the one true way. It breaks my heart to see all the deception out there, but it also allows me to see how very blessed I am to have been brought up in the Truth.
I'm very excited about this project and I'll let you know how it comes along :)

Christmas Fellowship with Friends
This Christmas season has been so wonderful because I have gotten the chance to spend precious time with friends and loved ones. I went to a Christmas/ Hanukkah party at my friend's on Sunday; it was really neat because we had a short worship time and took Communion during the party. There was such a feeling of Peace-it was amazing!
Before we headed back to Kilgore we stopped and visited some friends that we normally don't get to see but a couple times a year. We took a group picture with the three Stegall kids, their 4 girls, and my cousin Aaron.
We took another picture of just the four of us at my aunt and uncle's...we had to drop off my baby cousin that we took to the party.
We didn't back in town until really late and I was overjoyed to be out of the car and once again have my own space....I'm not a big fan of being squished in a minivan with 6 other people for three hours. LOL
We had to leave the party early b/c I had to be dropped off at a babysitting job, but I was really glad that I was able to be there for the time I was.
I got a picture in front of the tree before I left :)

Michael's MONSTER!!!
For Christmas this year my class drew names of people to buy presents for. This year I drew Michael's name...which was funny that I just so happened to get his name this year b/c i had it last year too. He put down on his paper that he wanted a Monster energy drink...the same thing he put down last year. lol.
I bought him this mega sized Monster drink that he drank in like less than five minutes. It was HYSTERICAL b/c four different guys in my class were drinking Monsters and were so wired up it was crazy!!

Goofing Around! :D
A couple of my friends and I were helping transport some of the props for the elementary Christmas play (which were bunches of huge stuffed animals), when we decided to have a little fun goofing around. We got some pictures of the fun :D
Michael gives the bear a ride on his shoulders
Michael: NICE bear!!! LOL
My Escort
I asked and he said "yes"....my escort for homecoming is Clay Thompson, one of the Starters for the Varsity Guys Basketball team.
I plan on taking PLENTY of pictures of homecoming, and myself on the Homecoming Court, so I'll be able to post some of them for you guys!

I've decided!!!
I have officially decided on who I am going to ask to escort me at homecoming!! Finally I have decided!! There were several well qualified young men, and it was very difficult to narrow it down to who i did. I did though, and I will be asking him next period.
...I'll be able to post his name after i ask him...provided he says yes, of course

trying to decide...
Ok, so I have to pick someone to escort me for Homecoming. I have about three different people I'd like to ask, but as of now I have nooooo idea who to go with. This is a really special time and I want it to be as perfect as possible. So, I'm trying to decide who to pick. Bad news is, I have to have someone picked by this Friday..................and i'm still not sure

Biology grade!!
So...i found out I made a 93 on my Biology. Not as great as I hoped, but not as horrible as it could have been. Pautsch is letting us do test corrections so that'll bring my grade up a little. This test didn't mess up my average, so it's all good :)

Prayer Request
Hey you guys,
I have a friend who is having heart surgery today and needs prayer. She goes in at 10:30am this morning. If you would, please pray for her!

Biology
I have this 60 question Biology test next period...which isn't anything extremely unusual, but I studied maybe a total of 45 minutes....so now I'm a little worried. I have to get at least a 96, or I'm pretty much ruined for the resta the semester. The last test i took and didn't study for, I ended making a 93 on (after doing test correction), but it still dropped my class grade from a 99 to a 95...pretty stupid if you ask me. I don't really see how one test could drop my average in the class 4 whole points, but it did...so now I know I can't afford to make anything but high A's for the rest of this quarter.
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...................I'm sick of school.

HOMECOMING!!! ;)
I've wanted to post about this all day, and now that school is over I can!! (I was told I couldn't say anything about this until after school when everyone had already heard the announcement of who got selected)
I was voted Homecoming Sweetheart for my class by the Varsity Basketball Guys. They all voted yesterday, and I found out the results last night at like 9:30. I soooooooo wanted to make a post then, but when my Principal called to tell me I had gotten it, he also said that I had to act like I didn't have a clue I was chosen. Yeah...that was murder! lol I wanted so badly to tell my best friend, but had to comply and wait until they announced it at the school pep rally. What was kinda funny is that earlier today one of my friends was like "So, you think ya won?". I wanted to tell her so bad, but couldn't...so I had to just act like i was blowing it off and was like "ehhh...I'll find out at the pep rally if i did or not."
This whole thing is an extra incentive to eat REALLY healthy during my Christmas break...i have to go dress shopping and that has the potential to be a disaster if I don't. So now I have a feeling I'll be working out extra hard this next month or so. The Homecoming game is on January the 23rd, so I am going to try and eat as healthy and exercise as well as I can until then.
Man, I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo excited! This is a really special thing and I can't wait! :)
btw, you were right, Pautsch!...here it is =)

Happy Friday :)
It's Friday again! SWEET! I'm just chillin' out in Comp. lit class right now; I finished my assignment so I'm free to post on my blog. My class had to do an assignment using Microsoft Word; we had to create a 2 page newsletter with at least three articles with a common theme. The assignment was actually pretty fun and really creative. Props to Coach P! :) lol.
I did my newsletter with the common theme of health and beauty. I enjoyed it a lot and was really glad that I was free to pick something that interests me personally instead of having a topic or theme assigned to me.

Christmas
Ok, so my Computer Lit teacher told us to blog about what we wanted for Christmas. I normally wouldn't pick that to make a post about, but since I'm receiving a grade for this, I should probably post about what he told us to... I have a hard time writing about this b/c i feel like I sound selfish lol.
So, here's my list of stuff I'd like...but could totally live without :)
- An audio Bible
- An mp3 or ipod
- A new Radio/CD player
- Money or gift cards
- A new phone

2 Weeks! :)
The count-down begins! *Whoot-whoot!!* I get out for Christmas in a lil less than 2 weeks. Man, I am READY for a break from school! My 16 yr old second coisin Aaron will be coming down from Wisconsin to visit, so that'll be really neat to have him in TX for a little while. I saw him for the first time in about ten years this past Summer when my family went to Wisconsin for a visit. We four kids (Josh, Bri', Aaron and I) all had so much fun spending time with each other and catching up on the past ten years we had been apart, that we decided that Aaron needed to come down and see TX and stay a while during his vacation. At first it didn't look like it was likely to happpen, but everything came together and he's set to fly in on the 19th. It'll be really fun showin' him how life is down here in the south lol. He's really had NO exposure to anything but Wisconsin (and next-door city, Chicago), so I think he might enjoy seeing something new.
I'm really looking forward to him coming :)

It's Friday!! :)
YAy! It's finally Friday! I do have to say though that this week of school has gone by really fast...that could be b/c I was only at school 3 days this week. On Tuesday I was gone on our trip to Dallas and then on Wednesday I wasn't able to make it to school because I was a little under the weather. I was fine towards the middle/later part of the afternoon, but went ahead and took the whole day off to make sure I was well rested and recovered.
Now I'm ready for the weekend! :) I finished my homecoming stuff that I had to type up and turn in to Mrs. Wisdom...which by the way, was not fun. lol. I had to come up with several ideas for decorations and items for us to sell during Spirit Week. It was hard to come up with ideas because I really didn't have a lot of time to devote to it b/c of other things that I had to take care of this week. Thankfully I still managed to come up with a few. Now I'm just ready for the night of Homecoming to be here so that we can be done with all the fundraising, planning, etc.
Well, that's my update for now! Talk to you guys later! :)

High School Trip to Dallas
Today my school took a group of high school students to see the King Tut Exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. The exhibit was AMAZING! It was so neat to be able to look at everything they had found in King Tut's tomb and know that what you were looking at was was over 3, 000 years old... wow! Seeing all those things made me want to step back in time and be able to see what life was like for them. I've always been fascinated with the Egyptian people and their culture, so having the opportunity to go and see this exhibit was something I'll always remember.
The exhibit was only visiting 5 cities in the U.S. and after that will return to Egypt where it will stay...so to go and see this was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
After the we had finished walking through the exhibit we walked 8 stinkin' blocks to get to the Spaghetti Warehouse, where we had planned to eat. I was in 3 1/2 in. heels, so walking 8 blocks to the restaurant, and another 8 blocks back to the parking garage (a block from the museum) was miserable! I didn't know we were going to have to walk a total of 16 blocks (not counting the almost ten rooms of the exhibit), or I would have worn more comfortable shoes. One of my guy friends offered to let me ride on his back, but I felt bad for making him do that...after all it wasn't his fault that I was stupid and wore heels. LOL.
Another one of my friends got tired of walking so he just jumped in a cab...after walking about ten blocks I knew he had a good idea :)...unfortunately I didn't know which parking garage my group had parked in, so I had to just keep walking with the group cuz I wouldn't have had a clue where to tell the cab driver to go.
At least I got my exercise for today! :)..which wouldn't have been so bad if I had been wearing flats.
All in all , the trip was fantastic and tons of fun! I'm glad we not only got to see the incredible Tut exhibit, but also had a whole day of fellowship and fun with one another!
